KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Sunday seized a huge cache of heavy arms during a raid in Landhi area of the Karachi.
According to a Ranger spokesman, the raid was conducted in Landhi area of the city where weapons were found buried in Inami Ground.
The arms included Light Machine Guns, G-3 Rifles, Sub-Machine Guns, hand grenades and large number of bullets and cartridges.
It was not immediately clear whether any arrests were made. The paramilitary force has been carrying out a drive against criminal elements and militants in the city for three years.
The operation is being jointly conducted by the Rangers and police, which has brought a lull in political and sectarian violence that devoured thousands of people in the commercial hub of the country.
