Imran Khan warns of massive protest over Panama ToRs after Eid

ISLAMABAD: Giving a chance to the government till Eidul Fitr, PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said his party would stage a massive protest in August against non-finalisation of terms of reference (ToRs) for the Panama Papers inquiry commission.

In an interview here, Khan said, “Muslim league-Nawaz wants to exclude the name of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from ToRs. If accountability begins it will start from the PM.”

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief went on to say that PTI leadership and workers were trained in Islamabad sit-in. They have learnt the science of protest through that protest demonstration.

“We are giving a chance to the government till Eid to finalize the ToRs,” said Khan and warned that they would stage protest bigger than Islamabad sit-in in August if the government failed to frame the terms of references.

Imran Khan expressed hope that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would join hands with his party in the protest, adding that if PPP abandoned them then it would become evident before the masses that it was protecting the government.
