Malala Yousafzai sends condolence message over Sabri's death

Nobel peace prize winner Malala Yousafza sent her condolence message over Amjad Sabri's death.

In a statement from London Yousafzai appreciated Sabri's contributions towards bringing Islam's sufi aspect to light. "People like him are born once in centuries," said the education activist.

"The government should arrest the perpetrators and punish them," she said.

Renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri was gunned down on Wednesday by unknown assailants. Police officials said that Sabri was shot multiple times and succumbed to his wounds on his way to a local hospital.

Amjad Sabri, 45, was one of Asia's most popular singer of 'qawwali' a form of Sufi devotional music that dates back 700 years.
