Student reveals he was victim of torture, attempted kidnapping in past
KARACHI: The student of a private university in Karachi who suffered major burns on Friday when unknown miscreants set him on fire claimed that he was the victim of an attempted kidnapping on February 9 as well but he escaped after being attacked and tortured.

Harris, a student of Iqra University in Karachi, was abducted four days back from Baloch colony and was set on fire in Akhtar colony area today after which he was immediately rushed to hospital and treated.

Following his treatment, he stated that he had forgotten his university card at home and while he was on his way home to collect it, he encountered unknown kidnappers in a vehicle who took him away. He added that he was not aware who his attackers were.

His father alleged that he had already complained to the police earlier regarding his son’s first attempted kidnapping but the police refused to provide any security.
