Pakistan achieved its biggest ODI win in term of runs when the men-in-green defeated Ireland by 255 runs in Dublin on Thursday.

The 255-run victory surpassed Pakistan's previous biggest-win which was with a margin of 233 runs against Bangladesh in 2000.

Overall, it was the ninth biggest ODI win by any team in One Day internationals. The list is led by New Zealand for defeating Ireland by 290 runs in 2008.

Batsman Sharjeel Khan became only the third Pakistani player ever to score 150 or more runs in an ODI innings after Saeed Anwar and Imran Nazir. However, at the age of 27 years and 4 days, Sharjeel is the second-youngest Pakistani to score over 150 runs in an innings.

The youngest Pakistani to achieve this landmark is Imran Nazir who scored 160 at the age of 25 years and 95 days.

Sharjeel’s 150 came off 85 balls, which is third quickest to reach 150 in an innings after AB de Villiers (64 balls) and Shane Watson (83 balls).

His century, off 61 balls, is 4th fastest century by a Pakistani. All three before him were scored by Shahid Afridi in 37, 45 and 53 deliveries.

337 runs scored by Pakistan in the first innings is overall 7th highest score in an ODI innings restricted to or completed before 47 or less overs.

The highest total to be scored in an innings of 47 or less overs is 397 by New Zealand against Zimbabwe in 2005.
