Seven projects worth 285 billion rupees given green signal at ECNEC meeting: sources

ISLAMABAD: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Monday gave approval for seven projects costing 285 billion rupees, sources said.

In a meeting held at Islamabad, it was said that a new system would be installed at the Karachi Shipyard of 95 billion rupees, sources said.

According to sources, the new system would be used for unloading objects from planes and shifting them to another place.

The meeting also gave approval for the construction of the 34-billion-rupee Burhan Havelian Motorway, sources added.

Approval for buying 75 railway engines worth 45 billion rupees and Lahore-Sialkot Motorway costing 45 billion was also given.

Two projects were also given green signal for Chitral, Dir, Timergara.
