KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Mustafa Kamal has said that federal and provincial government should not consider the people of Karachi orphan after MQM chief’s anti-Pakistan speech yesterday.

Speaking to the media in Karachi, he said that MQM had an 85pc mandate of urban areas of Sindh.

PSP leader said that party workers should not be mistreated due to MQM chief’s inflammatory speech.

“What kind of a disease is this in which you become RAW’s agent”, Kamal questioned while criticising MQM chief.

He said that people should decide themselves who is wrong and who is right.

He again reiterated his opinion about Farooq Sattar and said that MQM leader was innocent.

Mustafa Kamal’s press conference comes in the wake of MQM Pakistan distancing itself from anti-Pakistan statements made from party offices in London.

Farooq Sattar in a press conference at the Karachi Press Club said the future decisions will be made by the MQM Rabita Committee in Pakistan.

Sattar also announced that he will be assuming control of the party leadership.

The MQM leader said it was not the policy of the MQM to attack media houses as he condemned what transpired on Monday.

Farooq Sattar, Khawaja Izhar, and some other party leaders were nabbed by Sindh Rangers from Karachi Press Club yesterday when they had arrived to address a press conference following MQM party workers’ attack on media houses in Karachi – an action incited by MQM chief’s inflammatory speech during the hunger strike organised by the party.

The speech incited party workers to take to the streets yesterday, ransack media houses and vandalise property.

At least one person died and eight others were injured during the violent attacks in which around 2,000 party workers participated.
