KARACHI: Television personality Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain has urged Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Farooq Sattar to issue a clear condemnation of MQM founder Altaf Hussain's anti-Pakistan speech.

Speaking to Geo News on Saturday, Dr Aamir Liaquat expressed his disappointment over the route being taken by the MQM deputy convener.

Liaquat quit MQM earlier this week after the party founder's provocative speech led to violent protests and attacks on media offices in the city.

His comments came as Farooq Sattar and the Karachi-based leadership of the MQM announced complete disassociation from Altaf Hussain and the MQM offices in London.

But Liaquat said that the announcement of disassociation was not enough, and that Sattar needs to openly condemn the MQM founder's statement.

Liaquat said Sattar should try not to waste time and take immediate action by amending the party's constitution.
