LAHORE:  Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of possible security threats in their Ehtesab Rally scheduled today.

In a press conference held on Friday he said that he had written a letter to PTI leader Aleem Dar informing him of security threats.

He added that military and civil intelligence reports over possible security risks at the rally venue were available with him. “Previously reports of an attack on Wagah border also proved correct,” he said.

He advised Imran Khan to postpone his “blame game” for a few days to mourn the lives lost in Mardan. “He should visit the victims of the Mardan Blast,” he said.

Meanwhile, Aleem Dar, scorned Rana Sanaullah's appeal. "When the government holds a rally in Lahore there are no security threats," he said.

The government can not abscond its responsibility from the Mardan attacks, he added.

"If any of our workers suffer as much as a scratch we will hold the government responsible," he warned.
