Seven more foreign cricketers join Pakistan Super League

CARDIFF: Pakistan's lucrative domestic T20 league, Pakistan Super League, continues to attract foreign players as seven more stars have agreed to be included in the draft players list for the second edition of the league.

The players draft for the second PSL edition will be held in October and several stars have already agreed to be part of the draft.

The latest to sign for the PSL draft include five players from England and one each from New Zealand and South Africa, and to double the fans' excitement, all of them are big names.

From England, all rounder Moeen Ali, batsman Jason Roy, and the fast bowling trio of Stuart Broad, Steven Finn, and James Anderson have agreed to be part of the lucrative T20 league, which will be held in UAE in February.

South Africa's Wayne Parnell and New Zealand's Anton Devcich are among the other players to sign up for the league.

Earlier, Brendon McCullum, Eoin Morgan, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, and Albie Morkel were the players to sign up for the players draft ahead of the second edition of PSL.

“I am particularly excited looking at our list of all-rounders for PSL 2. All five franchises are now evaluating their options because all-rounders are an important part of modern-day cricket,” said Najam Sethi, the chairman of Pakistan Super League.

The players draft for PSL 2 will take place in the month of October. The draft order will follow the principle of placing the bottom-placed team from the previous year at an advantage.

Subsequently, Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick in every round. Karachi Kings will have the second pick, Peshawar Zalmi third, Quetta Gladiators fourth, and Islamabad United will make the final pick in every round.
