RAJANPUR: Security forces are conducting a combing operation in Gayandari area at the border of Punjab and Balochistan, the ISPR said.
According to the ISPR, eight terrorists and a security officer have been killed during the operation while several have been apprehended. A huge cache of arms and ammunition has been confiscated from the terrorists.
Border military forces and militants are engaged in an exchange of fire.
Terrorists are using heavy weapons and mortar shells against security forces, a border military force spokesman said.
The terrorists include fugitive militants from Balochistan, the spokesman added.
