Rain expected in parts of Pakistan during Eid holidays

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Office has predicted scattered rain with dust-thunderstorm over upper parts of the country are expected during the Eid holidays in the coming week.

According to a Met Office statement, good relief from the current hot and humid weather is expected during the coming week.

The Met Office has forecast rain for Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, FATA, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan, between Monday to Wednesday.

According to the Met Office Director-General Ghulam Rasool, the temperature in Karachi during September 12 to 14 is expected to range between 30-32 °C along with continuous sea breeze.

Rawalpandi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Lahore may face intermittent showers of rain, he said. 

In Peshawar as well as some parts of Interior Sindh including Larkana, Sukkur, Sibbi and Nawabshah, however, the climate can remain hot and humid with temperature rising up to 40°C, the Met Office.
