PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers protested outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his party's initiative of Raiwind march.

According to the protesters, Raiwind was their political stronghold and if anyone had any ill intentions towards it then they would face dire consequences.

The PML-N protesters also threatened of surrounding Bani gala and Zaman Park (Imran Khan’s residences in Islamabad and Lahore, respectively).

The PML-N supporters also chanted slogans against the PTI chief during the protest in Peshawar, where the PTI is the ruling party.

Earlier in September, PML-N workers had gathered outside the residence of Prime Minister Sharif in Jati Umrah, Raiwind and protested against PTI's announcement of the Raiwind march.

The PTI chief had initially announced a protest march on Spet 24 to Raiwind, where Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resides.

Imran Khan on Friday had said that the party is 100 percent certain about a protest march to Raiwind. “We call on everyone from Pakistan to join us, it will be a historic protest,” Imran Khan had said.
