PIA cancels flights to Northern Areas

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airlines has cancelled flights in the Northern Areas after the Civil Aviation authorities closed down air space in the region.

The cancelled flights include those scheduled for Chitral, Skardu and Gilgit, a PIA spokesperson said.

PK 452 from Islamabad to Skardu, PK 605, PK 606, PK 607, PK 608, PK 609, PK 610 traveling to and fro Gilgit and Islamabad, and PK 660 and PK 661 traveling to and fro Peshawar and Chitral have been suspended.

The PIA spokesperson apologised to customers for the inconvenience.
