Pakistan selects Mah-e-Mir as entry for 2017 Oscars

Mah-e-Mir has been shortlisted as Pakistan’s entry for the best foreign film category at the 89th Academy Awards.

Directed by Anjum Shahzad and produced by Khurram Shahzad, Mah-e-Mir stars Fahad Mustafa as the main character.  Iman Ali, Sanam Saeed, Ally Khan and Manzar Sehbai also have prominent roles in the movie.

The movie takes us through the journey of a young poet who is driven to madness and discovers one of the leading Urdu ports of the 18th century Mir Tariq Mir.

Mah-e-Mir was released in May, 2016 but did not live up to box office expectations despite receiving positive reviews.
