Amidst violent scenes from North Carolina, one man stood out giving free hugs to the Charlotte police, which is seen with great mistrust and suspicion by the angry native American community.

Ken Nwadike's video went viral over the Internet on Thursday, being viewed more than 15 million times.

He created his Free Hugs Project following the 2013 marathon bombings in Boston. Nwadike's message is simple: peace and non-violence.
