CM seeks closure of shops in Sindh by 7pm

KARACHI: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday revealed his plans for shops and businesses, all over Sindh including Karachi, to open at 9am and close at 7pm sharp.

The chief minister said that now everything would be done on time and he would ensure that shops and businesses are opened at 9am and closed at 7pm in the evening. The statement was made during his visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce.

"It happens all around the world and we too need to understand the importance of time," he said.

The CM said that the law permitting only one dish at marriages and functions would also be effectively implemented across the province. He praised the Punjab government for taking such a decision and said Sindh would also implement it.

He further said that Rs10 billion allocated in the Karachi package would be spent on the megapolis by December this year, adding that to resolve the issues facing the city, everyone's cooperation was needed.
