1. Steve Smith (Australia)
Highest rating 936 v England at Lord's 2015
Started his Test career as a leg-spinner who batted at No.8; by the time he was named Australia's captain five years later, he was the no.1 Test batsmen in the world.
2. Joe Root (England)
Highest rating 917 v Australia at Trent Bridge 2015
Expected to be captaining English side after Alastair Cook; Root continues to make waves in the Tests.
3. Hashim Amla (South Africa)
Highest rating 907 v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi 2013
With 7470 runs and counting in Test, the 33-years-old is called Mr. Dependable in the Proteas.
4. Kane Williamson (New Zealand)
