ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader Khursheed Shah said that if the army intervenes the nation can blame Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday outside his chamber he said that he had no idea why Imran Khan was thirsty for the blood of poor workers.

He added that his party was waiting for the November 1 Supreme Court verdict over the Panama Leaks case.

He alleged that Imran Khan was working on someone’s agenda. “We all know where the decisions take place. Someone has finally told him that they will raise the finger,” he said in a jibe at Imran Khan’s frequent calls for help from an ‘umpire’.

The PTI has called a sit-in in the capital on November 2 to protest alleged offshore accounts owned by the Prime Minister named in the Panama Papers. The party has threatened to block all state machinery.

Tahirul Qadri's Pakistan Awami Tehreek also joined the sit-in on Monday.

The protest comes as the Supreme Court is hearing PTI's petitions filed against the Prime Minister.

'Quetta attack is tragic, such incidents have happened before'

Shah condemned the loss of lives in the attack at the police training centre adding that there had been a security lapse by the provincial government. Sixty one police personnel were killed and 117 injured in an attack in Quetta on Monday.

“The attack in Quetta is tragic. But such attacks have happened before,” he said adding that the provincial government should have paid more attention to the security of the centre.

“There were no weapons inside the training centre which could have been used to thwart off the attack,” he said. “The matter should be investigated.”

He said that the government should provide foolproof security to training centres.
