LAHORE: Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Lahore Qalandars will become the first PSL franchise to play an international series against franchises from other leagues.

Lahore Qalandars will fly to Sydney next month where they will play a tri-series with two Big Bash teams, Sydney Thunders and Sydney Sixers.

Lahore Qalandars have announced the 15-member team which will travel to Australia. The squad includes Yasir Jan, the ambidextrous fast bowler who recently made headlines with his unique talent of bowling fast with both arms.

The tour is part of Lahore Qalandars' development program, in which the team's selectors picked 15 players after nationwide trials.

Although previously teams from the National T20 Cup of Pakistan have participated in Champions League, Lahore Qalandars will be the first PSL franchise to play against international franchises.
