No one above law in Pakistan: Saad Rafique

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday said Imran Khan after disrespecting apex court has become a culprit of contempt of court.

The PML-N leaders were addressing a press conference in the capital where they lashed out against Imran Khan and his party’s upcoming Islamabad march.

He said that Imran Khan asks for help from the Pakistan People’s Party and ridicules their leadership at the same time.

He said that the opposition parties can protest and criticise the government but they have no right to shut down cities.

“Whose agenda is Imran Khan following?” Saad Rafique said., adding that only Pakistan’s enemies want to shut down cities.

He added that even the PML-N and PPP have learnt from past mistakes and let bygones be bygones.

He said Imran Khan has undermined the CPEC project and the project is for the country’s welfare.

He said that the government will cleanse the country from terrorists.

He said that in wake of Quetta attack, the Balochistan government has announced aid of five million rupees for every martyr.

The family of martyrs will get one job and monthly salary as well, he added.

Saad Rafique said that the Opposition has nothing else to do except for deriding others.

Today, PTI chairman Imran Khan challenged the Islamabad High Court decision barring him from blocking the capital and said that no power could stop him from holding a sit-in on November 2.

“My resolve is increasing every day. Our gathering on November 2 will be decisive and historic,” he stated.

Imran Khan's party is due to protest over the matter of Panama leaks in Islamabad on Nov 2.
