Indian forces resort to cross-border firing at the LoC

RAWALPINDI: Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing at the Line of Control near Shahkot sector, the Inter-service Public Relation (ISPR) said.

Pakistan Army gave befitting response to Indian firing which began at 7:40 am and there were no casualties reported, the ISPR added.

At least three civilians were killed and several others injured in firing by Indian forces at the Nakyal Sector on Friday.

Earlier this week, Pakistan summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh to protest repeated ceasefire violations at the Working Boundary and LoC.

The Foreign Office handed a protest letter to the Indian envoy over the ceasefire violations.

Since October 21, four civilians have embraced martyrdom while 21 have been injured at the Working Boundary due to the firing by Indian army.

Indian army on Tuesday also carried out unprovoked firing at Bhimber sector, which was befittingly responded to by the Pakistan Army.
