LASBELLA: Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan Major Gen Sher Afgan on Sunday said that the head of the suicide bomber behind deadly attack on Shah Noorani’s shrine was found.

The IG FC was visiting the shrine a day after the lethal attack that left 52 dead and scores of people injured. He also spoke to media personnel afterwards.

“The suicide bomber had 9MM bullets and ball bearings in his vest which caused greater damage” said Maj Gen Sher Afgan.

He said that the tightly packed gathering of people also was a reason behind the higher death toll and casualties.

He however said that before proper investigation nothing could be said about those involved in perpetrating the attack.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Kalat Hashim Ghalzai said the incident is being investigated and any lapse in security or dereliction of duty will not be tolerated.

At least 52 people including women and children were killed and more than 100 injured in a suicide blast in Shah Noorani shrine near Hub in Balochistan’s Lasbella district on Saturday evening.
