Security, traffic plan for IDEAS 2016 finalised

KARACHI: Security and traffic plan have been finalised for International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2016, which would be held in Karachi’s Expo Centre from November 22 to 25.

According to the security plan, more than 2,000 police personnel would be deployed for the security of the exhibition including two SPs and four DSPs.

The plan also includes deploying four companies of Rapid Response Force in the surrounding areas of Expo Centre.

According to the traffic plan, all traffic from Karachi airport would be shifted to Tipu Sultan through Baloch Colony. However, University Road would be open for traffic.

The plan also includes diverting the traffic from Liaquatabad No.10 to Shahrah-e-Pakistan.

Shah Salman Road from Hasan Square to National Stadium would be close for routine traffic. The citizens would not be able to use the Karsaz flyover to reach Stadium Road.
