Three handicapped children burnt alive in Sialkot

SIALKOT: At least three handicapped children were burnt alive after a blast in a cylinder shop in the wee hours of Thursday at Sambaryal area.

According to local authorities, the fire destroyed the entire shop and spread to the surrounding buildings after the blast.

Rescue teams were dispatched immediately to the spot when it was confirmed that three handicapped children were present in the affected building.

Four fire engines took part in the rescue operation.

However, the children could not be saved despite effort from the relief agencies. The deceased were shifted to DHQ Hospital.
