ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan congratulated Naeem Bukhari and his team on behalf of all Pakistanis, adding that the case was being fought against the entire government machinery.

“The Supreme Court said today that Nawaz Sharif and his lawyer will have to give replies to several questions,” Khan said while speaking to journalists here on Tuesday.

The PTI chairman said the prime minister has accepted ownership of the companies and flats. “Now he will have to justify it,” he said.

Imran Khan added that if PTI workers had not come out on the streets the Panama Leaks issue would have been dead.

He said that the Sharifs had said that they bought the Mayfair flats by selling the steel mill, but it turned out that the steel mill was sold for a loss.

“The money trail is not clear,” he said.

Imran Khan added that the Prime Minister’s son Hussain Nawaz was a student in 1999. “In two years he became a billionaire,” he said.

“If Maryam Nawaz was not the prime minister’s dependent then where was all this money coming from?” he asked.

“Hussain Nawaz sent Rs740 million to the Prime Minister,” Imran Khan said. “Money laundered was dry-cleaned and sent back.”

“Let’s see who comes to give answer for $ 340 million. A Saudi prince or maybe Trump,” Imran Khan said on a lighter note.

The PTI chief further said that it was his request that the Panama Leaks cases should be decided by the bench hearing it.
