Pakistan cricket team reached Brisbane from Cairns on Sunday where the Green Shirts will clash with Australia in the first Test at The Gabba starting December 15.

The team will begin practice session tomorrow (Monday) ahead of the Day/Night Brisbane Test.

Pakistan team management remains hopeful leg-spinner Yasir Shah would make full recovery in time for the Test. According to reports, the spinner has started training with the rest of the team and looks set to play the Test coming week.

Pakistan thrashed a modest Cricket Australia XI by 210 runs in Cairns on Saturday. The tourists declared their second innings at 216 for six and then polished off the CA XI for 109 off 27.3 overs to win early on the final day of their three-day day-night game ahead of the first Test against Australia in Brisbane.

Yasir had sustained a back injury during Pakistan’s training session on Tuesday in Cairns, which ruled him out of the warm-up match against Cricket Australia XI. Pakistan Cricket Board has added 17-year old spinner Mohammad Asghar to the squad for the three-match Test series against Australia as a backup for Yasir Shah.
