PARACHINAR: A truck loaded with goods was destroyed in an explosion on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Kherlachi, Kurram Agency on Friday, according to assistant political agency.

"The truck was en route from Afghanistan's Paktia province when the explosion occurred on the Pakistani side of the Borki-Kherlachi border," Assistant Political Agent Shahid Ali Khan said.

The explosion took place at a distance of 70 metres from a check post.

Ali told Geo News a timed device was installed in the truck.

However, the truck driver and conductor were arrested and investigation was underway. They remained unhurt for they had stepped out of the vehicle for some reason before it exploded.

Meanwhile, the Toori Bangash tribes based in the agency have pledged to fully back the government Pakistani security forces against terrorists and miscreants.

A few days back, Daesh pamphlets were reportedly found in Kurram Agency, threatening of their operations.

Addressing the tribesmen after Friday prayers, Allama Fida Hussain said they were proud of the sacrifices of Pakistan Army, and lauded its officers and troops for wiping out terrorists from the country.

He said the native tribesmen will play their role alongside the forces in eliminating all terrorists.
