Special force to be formed for judges’ security

KARACHI: The Interior Ministry on Sunday decided to form a special force to provide security to judges.

According to a notification from the Interior Ministry, a three-member committee has been formed in this regard.

The committee will present its recommendations on the matter within 15 days to the Interior Ministry.

The committee’s head will be Director National Police Bureau Syed Imam Kaleem, while IG Islamabad Police Tariq Masood and Director General National Counterterrorism Authority Omer Sheikh will work as members of the team.

The team will also consult with Commandant FC for the formation of the special force.

The committee will make a report detailing budget and other recommendations, and send it to the NACTA, which will forward the report to the Interior Secretary.

The notification stated that if any member of the committee got transferred then the remaining members would continue the work.
