Four high-profile terrorists killed in Tank: ISPR

TANK: Four high-profile terrorists were killed by Pakistan Army during an intelligence-based operation in Ping Area, Tank, on Monday, according to ISPR.  

The operation was conducted against Asmatullah Shaheen Bhittani group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), said the notification issued by ISPR. The group was involved in targeted killings, extortion and kidnapping for ransom in Dera Ismail Khan, Tank and surrounding areas.

The deceased commanders of the banned organisation have been identified as Zaman alias Toofan, Zulam Din alias Zulmat, Wasiullah and Umar son of Asmatullah Shaheen. Weapons and ammunition were also seized from their possession.

Shaheen, an important member of TTP shura, was killed by another TTP faction due to an internal rift in 2014, according to the ISPR.

Security and law enforcement agencies in a swift response to recent terror attacks have killed more than a hundred terrorists, besides apprehending several miscreants from different parts of the country.
