One killed in firing incident in Karachi

KARACHI. One person was killed and five others injured in a firing incident in Pak Colony on Sunday.

According to District West SSP Nasir Aftab, gunmen on a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire at a drug den.

One of the gunmen has been identified as Bilal, nephew of Arshad Pappu, one of the most notorious figures of Lyari gang war who was shot dead on March 17, 2013.

Bilal and his companions were involved in the firing incident, said SSP Aftab.

Soon after the incident, Rangers and police reached the area and cordoned it off for some time.

In 2015, another gun attack in the area killed four people and injured five. According to reports, the case was a targeted killing in which unidentified assailants on motorcycles had opened fire on pedestrians.
