COAS meets Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, discusses bilateral relations

ABU DHABI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in his palace in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Pakistani chief of staff and discussed with him the bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.

In the meeting, enhancing cooperation and coordination between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan in the defence and military fields were discussed.

The two sides exchanged views on regional and international developments as well as a number of topics and issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazroui, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court and Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the armed forces.

During the meeting, it was also acknowledged that both Pakistan and UAE are vital players for the region.

Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff is currently visiting the United Arab Emirates.
