Minor girl raped and killed in Islamabad, suspects arrested

ISLAMABAD/WAH CANTT: Police on Wednesday arrested two suspects alleged of kidnapping, rape and murder of a minor girl, whose body was also recovered from motorway.

Aisha, 10, was abducted around 11 am on February 27, after which her family lodged a missing complaint at local police station.

Police on Wednesday apprehended a suspect, Taimoor, from Khanpur area, who revealed that his accomplice, Kamran, had brought the girl with him.

He said that they had taken the girl to Islamabad, but returned to motorway upon finding the route to Islamabad closed. The law enforcers, on Tamoor's pointation, rounded up his accomplice, Kamran.

The suspects have confessed to murdering the minor girl underneath a motorway bypass, according to SHO Yasir Kayani. Police recovered body of the girl and handed over to the heirs.

It is learnt that both the suspects are taxi driver by profession, while Kamran is also a neighbour of the deceased girl.

The suspects remain under custody and are being further interrogated.
