Punjab to hold LG polls in November this year, Sindh in 2016

ISLAMABAD: The provincial governments of Sindh and Punjab on Monday stated that Sindh would hold local government elections early next year, while Punjab would hold them in November this year.

In a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), both provincial governments also gave the option of delimitation of constituencies to the ECP.

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had already submitted the date for their LG polls for May this year.

The polls in Balochistan were concluded last year with the first phase starting in Dec 2013 and two other phases following in May and December 2014.
