Cousin kidnapped, killed over non-payment of ransom in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: A 13-year-old boy was kidnapped and killed by his relative here on Tuesday over non-payment of ransom money.

Police arrested the 19-year-old kidnapper, who was also a paternal cousin of the victim.

According to Civil Line police station, the victim identified as Adeel was abducted from outside his home on March 4.

The family said that his cousin named Kashif and his partner kidnapped Adeel. The victim's dead body was recovered from a field today.

Police arrested the suspects when they went to receive Rs 20,000 of ransom money through easy load.

Police handed over the body after post-mortem to the relatives. The investigation is underway in the case.
