Pakistani actress Veena Malik’s husband hopes to reconcile with his spouse and save their marriage.

Asad Khattak, who had tied the knot with Veena three years ago, remarked that he still loves his wife. “I still love you and our children a lot,” he said while speaking to Geo News.

“Veena, I am really sorry if I have hurt you or I bothered you in any way,” he said.

When asked about his relationship with Veena, Khattak was all praise for her. “Veena is a good wife, a good mother and a good friend.”

“I speak to her daily and we are good friends,” he added.

There are fights and misunderstandings between all couples, he said. “We will work out and try to clear our misunderstandings. We will soon be together again.”

He was out of the country and just came back. He hopes the elders in their family help sort out their differences.

Veena’s counsel remarked that her husband was against her joining the showbiz. However, Khattak rejected these claims.

Veena filed for Khula (when the wife uses her right to demand separation) after a rift with Khattak and his family over her return to showbiz, revealed sources privy to matter.

Counsel for the actress Ali Ahmed confirmed the separation saying that the family court issued the decree on January 31, 2017 after his client filed for Khula. The court ruled in favour of Veena as Khattak failed to appear in court.
