Firing injures three in Lahore

LAHORE: At least three people including two policemen were left injured after unidentified men opened fire near Lady Willingdon Hospital in Lahore early Tuesday morning.

The policemen were on their way to Tibbi City to arrest a proclaimed offender, when unidentified men intercepted them near Lady Willington Hospital, and opened fire.

Rizwan, Zafar and Afzal have been identified as the three wounded. Two of them were officials posted in Ghaziabad CIA while another was an informant, police said.

The injured police officers were shifted to Mayo Hospital.

According to hospital sources, two of the injured under treatment are in critical condition.
