PARIS: Samsung Electronics presented its “next-generation display” at the 2017 QLED TV Global Launch Event at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris on March 14. The tech giant displayed its line-up of QLED TVs and The Frame.

“At Samsung, we strive to provide our customers with the most advanced technology to deliver unrivaled viewing experiences and cutting-edge designs that complement their everyday lives,” a press release quoting HS Kim, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said. “With state-of-the-art style, smart features, and picture quality, our 2017 lineup is truly ushering in a new era for television.”

At the global launch event, KH Park, CE Business Manager Samsung Electronics Pakistan, told Geo News that Samsung’s new lifestyle QLED TV is the most developed TV in the world. In summer this year, the company’s premium line-up of QLED TVs will be available in Pakistan, he added.

Park has been living in Pakistan since three years and says he is happy to introduce Samsung TV's new innovation in Pakistan. Imran Qayum Khan, Head of Consumer Electronics Samsung Pakistan said the company wants to provide the best lifestyle choices to its Pakistani consumers so they can enjoy QLED’s high-quality, stylish products.

The latest products were designed taking into account “three key consumer pain points through the solutions known as Q Picture, Q Smart and Q Style”. Samsung worked with famed Swiss designer Yves Behar to create the sleek and artistic The Frame.

According to the press release, the QLED TV offers wider colour spectrum, an enhanced Samsung One Remote Control, and “all-new Invisible Connection cable”. It also “achieves a 100 percent color volume – the highest on the market today, earning accreditation by Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), one of Europe’s largest technical-scientific associations”.

Samsung also introduced The Frame, which doubles as a smart TV and a display to exhibit work of art, photos, etc, when powered off. Si, a tech-journalist from Thailand was all praise for the The Frame, saying that the additional of such a device to a house would definitely add its beauty.
