DUBAI: Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world, lit up with the colours of the Pakistani flag on Thursday night to celebrate the 78th Pakistan Day.
The skyscraper celebrated the Pakistan Day with an eye-catching LED light show, as was announced on official Burj Khalifa account on Twitter.
The Pakistani nation marks March 23 as the Pakistan Day commemorating the passage of Lahore Resolution in 1940, when the Muslims of the Subcontinent demanded a separate homeland.

The world's tallest building was twice illuminated with the Pakistani flag at 19:15 and 21:15 UAE Time. Each show lasted for 3 minutes.
The light shows attracted large crowds from Pakistani community based in Dubai and elsewhere in UAE, who were seen humming the Pakistan's national anthem outside the Dubai Mall.

Meanwhile, the Director General of the Pakistani military's public relations wing, Major General Asif Ghafoor, thanked UAE authorities for adding colour to the Pakistan Day celebrations.
