KARACHI: The glittering trophy of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 reached the University of Karachi on Thursday afternoon, after making stops at Edhi Home and Hawke's Bay during its tour of the city earlier today.

Former captain and the country’s all-time leading Test run-scorer Younis Khan accompanied the trophy during its stopover at the university.

An unveiling ceremony of the trophy was held at Edhi Home, where Faisal Edhi, the son of the late Abdul Sattar Edhi and current head of Edhi Foundation, welcomed the ICC and PCB officials accompanying the trophy.

Former captain Shahid Afridi was also present on the occasion, as residents and volunteers at Edhi Home gathered around the trophy and gave a warm welcome to the all-rounder.

Tweeting about his visit to Edhi Home, Afridi said it was an honour to unveil the Champions Trophy at the iconic Edhi centre.

The trophy was taken to Karachi's Hawke's Bay next, where Younis Khan joined Afridi in the trophy tour.
