Terrorist executed at District Jail Kohat: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Another hardcore terrorist, who was involved in various cases of terrorism, was executed at District Jail Kohat on Thursday, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The terrorist, identified as Tahir, son of Mir Shah Jehan, was convicted by military court for his involvement in various cases including attacks on Bannu Jail and Law Enforcement Agencies.

The convict, who was affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, was responsible for helping a number of terrorists escape after an attack on Bannu Jail.

He was also responsible for various attacks on LEAs, in which a soldier was martyred and another was injured. The terrorist had admitted to his offences before the Magistrate and the trial court, after which he was awarded death sentence.

On March 8, five hardcore terrorists, identified as Shoukat Ali, Imdad Ullah, Sabir Shah, Khandan and Anwar Ali, were executed at District Jail Kohat. All the terrorists were part of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

On February 4, last year, a key facilitator of TTP, Bilal Ahmed alias Abu Abdullah was executed in Kohat Central Jail. Bilal s/o Faiz Ahmed was arrested two years back from his native village Suraj in Sialkot. Bilal aka Abu Abdullah was sentenced to death by a military court in  Kohat after he was found guilty of terrorism.
