Imran Khan’s wedding will be a simple affair

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s wedding is going to be a simple affair with only close family and friends.

Earlier this week Imran Khan said he would be giving ‘good news’ to the nation about his marriage and Geo News has learnt through sources that the wedding will not be a large event.

Meanwhile, Mufti Saeed has arrived at Khan’s Bani Gala residence where he will conduct the nikkah ceremony. Imran Khan’s close friends Zakir Khan and Aun Chaudhry will be his witnesses.

“We have come to start the proceedings for the good news you are waiting for,” Mufti Saeed said while outside Khan's residence.

Since the last few weeks there has been speculation about Imran Khan’s marriage with anchorperson Reham Khan, however, the PTI chairman has neither denied nor confirmed this.

In a news conference on January 6, Khan responded to a question about his alleged marriage by stating that he wanted to speak to his sons prior to making a statement. “I did not think about getting married for ten years because I did not want to hurt my children. I wanted to speak to them first before making an announcement.”
