JCP advises to appoint Rehman as CJ IHC
ISLAMABAD: Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has drafted recommendations for the appointment of Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman, the judge of Lahore High Court (LHC), as Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) while Anwar Kansi and Riyaz Khan its judges, Geo News reported.

According to the details, The meeting of JCP was convened here with Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in chair.

JCP’s recommendations also included 1-year extension to Tahira Safdar, Justice Jamal Mandu Khel, Justice Mustafa Mengal, Justice Noor Muhammad Miskeen, four additional judges of Balochistan High Court (BHC).

The recommendations will be sent to Parliamentary Committee for appointment of judges for approval.
