ISLAMABAD: Former SSP Operations Islamabad Muhammad Ali Nekokara, who was suspended during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s sit-in in 2014, has been reinstated.

The former SSP was suspended during the protest against the federal government from the post of SSP Islamabad.

The Establishment Division reinstated him upon directions from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, following the appeal’s result.

The ex-SSP (Operations) Islamabad was dismissed for conveying in writing that the use of force against the protesters of PTI and PAT could result in an incident similar to that of Model Town.

The Interior Ministry had in 2014 surrendered Nekokara’s services to the Establishment Division, and he had been denied any salary since then.
