Portugal’s Luis Boa Morte has been revealed as player number six to join Ronaldinho and other football legends on their trip to Pakistan.

Boa Morte has played for Arsenal, Southamption, Fulham and West Ham United. Boa Morte has earned 28 caps for Portugal during his international career from 2001 to 2009. He was also selected for Olympics 2004 and played FIFA World Cup in 2006.

In a video message, Boa Morte said “I am excited to come to Pakistan as I have never been to the country so looking forward [to it].”

He added, “[I am excited] to be part of the family.”

“There [are] always possibilities to make football big in Pakistan and I am looking forward to it… Are you ready for football?”

The trip is an initiative of the Leisure Leagues Pakistan (LLP), which seeks to bring international players to Pakistan for seven-a-side charity match with Pakistani players in order to promote the sport.

Other players coming for the trip include football icons such as Ronaldinho, Robert Pires, Nicolas Anelka, David James and Jérôme Boateng.

However, the LLP’s Facebook page also stated that the name of a Real Madrid player joining the troupe of footballers to Pakistan will be unveiled on June 2.
