SC expresses dissatisfaction over probe into Hajj scandal
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has expressed dissatisfaction over the investigation being conducted into Hajj corruption scandal, Geo News reported on Thursday.

The court also raised its serious reservations on DG FIA Wasim Ahmed. Chief Justice remarked that current investigation into the scandal shows clear dishonesty of the FIA.

The federal minister Azam Sawati informed the court that, in a federal cabinet meeting, he had asked the Prime Minister for punishing federal minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi.

The courtroom was full of Hajj pilgrims during the hearing.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry heard a suo motu notice case regarding the alleged corruption in hajj arrangements.

The court also expressed displeasure over the issue that investigation into the scam is being carried out by a low rank officer (inspector).

The apex court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 13.
