CARDIFF: Cricket commentator and former captain Ramiz Raja hopes Pakistan batsmen have done their homework on how to play England seamers skillfully in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy on Wednesday.

Speaking to Geo.tv, Ramiz stressed on the need to rotate strike and score runs off the opponent seamers.

“England have mastered seam and bounce and how Pakistan batsmen play the seam would be key to our chances in the game,” he said, adding that senior batsmen would need to step up their game in the much-anticipated clash.

“It’s time for Mohammad Hafeez, Babar Azam to score runs. When they get out early, they put the remaining players under pressure,” Ramiz said.

“Sarfraz should come in to bat higher up the order, at number 3 or 4,” he reiterated.

Ramiz said Pakistan’s newly found confidence after beating South Africa and Sri Lanka would be helpful heading into the match against England.

“Our players have received a huge mental boost after two consecutive wins. They just need to play naturally and without fear,” he added.
