ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan was already up north, from there he should get a ticket and fly out of Pakistan, said State Minister for Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday.

While talking to Geo News, Aurangzeb said the PTI chief was actually crying — going by the slogan of Ro Imran Ro raised by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz against him — as he can see the Sharif family was smoothly making its way through the accountability process.

She believed Imran was losing chances of victory in the general elections of 2018 and has already lost his game in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

When asked why she and the premier looked worried in a photo when the latter had come out of the Panama Papers Joint Investigation team session on June 15, Aurangzeb said it was misconstrued. She added Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was satisfied with the legal proceedings as he has been through accountability before — during General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan Peoples Party tenures — and has come out successful. "He is also content because it was the people of Pakistan who had elected him the prime minister for the third time."

About who was trying to cause impediments for the incumbent government, the state minister said it was those people who do not want to see the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor reach its completion and the country progress.
