Senior journalist M A Zuberi passes away
ISLAMABAD: M A Zuberi, Editor-in-Chief of an English national daily passed away after protracted illness in Karachi.

The deceased will be laid to rest in the vicinity of Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine in Clifton after his funeral prayers to be held in Masjid Noor-ul-Islam, Zamzama Park after Zohar prayers on Monday.

M A Zuberi was born in 1920. He entered the world of journalism by joining the editorial team of daily Dawn and worked under the guidance of Quad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He founded his own newspaper in 1965 and later headed a domestic private news channel.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani expressed their condolences on the demise of Pakistan’s one of the senior most journalists.
