Pakistan envoy to Germany offers condolences over tragic incidents back home

BERLIN: Pakistan's Ambassador to Germany, Jauhar Saleem, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, expressed his heartfelt condolences over the tragic incident of oil tanker fire in Bahawalpur and terrorist attacks in Parachinar and Quetta.

On Sunday morning, thousands of Muslims living in Germany offered Eid prayers, while as hundreds of Pakistani community members gathered at a local Mosque in Berlin.

After the Eid prayers, the ambassador mingled with the Pakistani diaspora and exchanged Eid greetings with them. Meanwhile, in the Eid sermon, special prayers were held for peace and progress of Pakistan, as well as for the unity and solidarity of Muslim world.

A large number of Pakistani community members attended the 'Eid Milan' party to celebrate the occasion at the Embassy of Pakistan in Berlin. 

In the welcome speech, Ambassador Saleem stated that every member of the community in Germany is a representative of Pakistan, especially in order to highlight the factual soft image of their home country. Also, he congratulated Pakistan Cricket Team for the historical victory against arch-rival India in the final of Champions Trophy 2017.

Furthermore, 'Sheer Khurma' a significance of Eid-ul-Fitr was served to the Pakistani community members, which brought back the delicious memories of the homeland.

The kids and ladies, at the gathering, added to the charm of Eid celebrations, who wore traditional eastern dresses.
